Andy – Disabled Adaptation

Andy’s (43 years old from Ruskington) adaptation was sourced through LHIA and paid for through the RAF Benevolent Fund. He praises LHIA’s project management of his adaptation but is particularly grateful for the advice and support that remains available to him even now.

House adapted for motorised wheelchair user. Features lowered kitchen units, access ramp and level-access shower bathroom.

“My caseworker, Mark, and surveyor, John are just fantastic. They have taken all the hassle out of the adaptation. It’s been the ideal experience. I wouldn’t have known where to start without them.

“Polite, easy to talk to and always eager to help, LHIA have been a crucial contact point for me throughout the process. Their trusted traders meant I didn’t have to worry about who was working in the house as I knew they were vetted carefully. I would recommend LHIA to anyone having difficulty accessing their homes. My condition has made it increasingly difficult for me to access mine, but LHIA have made it so much easier to get around and to continue to use my home to the full.”
